London Trip

And so after glascow we are once again on our way to LONDON!!! might be the dreams of alot of pple to go there eh? hehe!!

When we reached London Stanstadt airport we still have to take a coach ride to the main city.

For the first night we are supposed to stay in a hostel which is quite far from the city centre so its abit inconvienient. So we decided to split up into smaller groups and search for hostel rooms near the city centre.

The sky became dark and its still earli so we took a walk around to look at some amazing night sight of london.

The next day morning we went to the main street of london Piccadilly Circus to walk walk see see. There is oso a chinatown here....the duck rice and other chinese food realli tempt me man....

There are realli alot of things to see in london... too many!! but there are onli a few MUST SEE things... which in my opinion are the night sight of big ben, Buckingham Palace's change of guards and the British Museum.

We wanted to watch the change of guards there but obviously we are not the only one think that way. Look at the crowd....

It was so crowded that police have to be there to maintain order.... areas are cordoned off for the march past too. They sit on horses~ how cool is that!!!

It was realli hard to get a bird's eye view of everything.... i raised my hand and took a picture thru the fence. I doubt i could see the parade....damn it.... so i decided to push my way to another direction to see the march past instead....hahahah i am only gonna be there once so who cares rite hehe!! So good perfect view!!!!

Outside the abbey studio there is a wall which was vandalised with greetings for beatles.... so we thought of adding something to it too....something which proves our existence here in LONDON!!! hahaha bad thoughts ya!!!

Plans

Today i did some chinese dishes for my pick-up buddy Simone. I did chicken soup with radish,onions,garlic,mushrooms etc..., steam eggs with pork, and pan-fried brocolli~~ Alycia contributed by cooking the rice and Qiling contributed by eating the food....but its too much to finish but still THANKS everyone for giving face =P

Simone taught me Applepie and another german dish here, so in return i taught her how to prepare singaporean style home-cooked food hahaha!! I am so glad i came for exchange as i have learnt alot of new stuffs here!!! But i still miss Singapore~~ hahaha!!

Next week i will be away again to Italy for 10 days~!!! Cities i would be visiting are Milan, Venice, Florence and Rome!! Really looking forward to it! But before i fly to Italy i am going to Munich to meet DANIEL TONG!!!!

Chris the noob.... and Glascow Scotland

Few days before i am flying to Scotland i had a visitor whom i was realli looking forward to meeting!!!! CHRIS - my best buddy in Sheares Hall~ He had already finished his exchange and was travelling with another girl from NUS - Eunice. We took most of the time catching up and telling each other on our exchange experience and i took him to Fruhlingsfest!!!! I bet he enjoyed himself..... chris you realli came at the right time!!! Hahaha~ Go tell kenneth about your experience here hehe.....

After Chris dumped his luggage at my place, he continued his travelling plans again. Few days later i too flew to Glascow, Scotland!!!! I was travelling with another 8 pple : Daniel, Thomas, Javier, Joaquin, Emma, Marcela, Alycia and Qiling. The bad thing was that we are not flying from Stuttgart but Frankfurt(Hahn), which is quite an ulu place a long long distance away. We had to wake up earli at 5plus am, meet at 6am and drive 4 freaking hours to the airport. I am glad i am not the one driving, hahaha anyway its left hand drive so i am not used to it. lolx!! Finally we reached the airport!!!! TOTAL DISAPPOINTMENT hahaha..... maybe becos i come from SINGAPORE!!!! We have the BEST airport in the world!! haha~ Look at Frankfurt(Hahn) airport....

Arrival in Scotland!!! Looking forward to everything!!! At least the girls are hehex~ We got to take a train to the main city~ Its usual as the airports are far from the city area.... they can afford to~ ha~ not like Singapore so small.

We didnt buy tickets for the train ticket as we cant find any ticketing station at the platform.... then we asked around and realised that we buy the tickets on the train from the conductor.... During the ride, the conductor was checking everybody's ticket.... but my train reached my station jus before he was going to check me so i went scotfree!! hehe!!

We went to our hostels first before getting our meal..... we came to Scotland and did not try scottish food but CURRY!!!! hahaha..... food damn expensive here la.....but i jus spent... only felt heartpain when i return to Stuttgart again realising i spent 1k SGD..... TMD.... another 1 month of spaghetti.....

After the meal, we went to their main city street!!!

Before we return to hostel, we registered for a one day tour to LOCHNESS LAKE in the quest of searching for the legendary monster NESSIE!!!! The next day we depart from the bus station. The journey towards Lochness is about 4 hours cos we have alot of stopovers.... The bus has audio devices which explains the history of some historical places and events... there wasnt any tour guides.... the audio devices make use of statellite gates which will activate when it is near the historical places or architectures.... so cool.....

First stop : Some countryside farm~ with sheeps!!! but its barricaded =( cannot go ride the sheeps hehe

There we bought the ticket to enter one of the oldest castle here in Scotland... and also to take the cruise in the lake!!!

The HIGHLANDS!!!! I feel that its a MUST-GO thingy if you ever to come to Scotland.... i love the nature, the scenery etc etc....

We spend only like awhile here.... dun even have time to take more pictures... damn man....

Time for the CRUISE!!!

The cruise lasted for half an hour.... we were taking alot of photos and also enjoying food and scenery... Before we reached the dock, we were all disappointed that we didnt get a chance to capture a magnificient sight of Nessie.... When the dock was nearer in sight.... we ALL caught sight of the long awaited great monster in history!!! NESSIE THE GREAT and its children!!!

Tried to take a candid shot of Qiling with the beautiful scenery behind her.... the sky, the land, and the sea....but the caramel food wrapper in her hand destroyed the elegance of this picture haha~

Next we went to the nearby village of Inverness and free for all mode for awhile....

After Inverness we return to Glascow to rest ourselves for the next day~ The next morning we woke up early to eat breakfast and went out to this botanic garden near the University of Glascow.

Next we moved on to a Museum (again) hahaha~

The rest went on into the Museum but we were more interested with the exhibition outside the museum.... The pple are going to act out how life during the Viking era was like~ They were very friendly and approached us and talk ahaha.... must be the attractiveness of the 2 other Singaporean girls with me..... definitely not becos of me.....

Finally we enter the musuem....but instead of looking around the 3 singaporean Musketeers sat down at the cafe area and drink kopi and eat tuna sandwich..... hahahaha.... singaporeans realli no culture appreciation sia..... onli the French and the Chileans could appreciate....

I did go to a wing of the museum..... the part of the museum where history comes alive at night!!! hahaha~ Looks cool!!!

Then time was running out.....

We had to leave for London, England...........

We realli had a great time in Glascow..... and i only have 3 words to say about this trip here...

"I LOVE SCOTLAND!!!!!"

Frühlingsfest part 1

Welcome to Frühlingsfest in Stuttgart, Germany!!!!! This event is the 2nd biggest festival in Germany after Octoberfest!!! Its a combination of beer drinking as well as amusement park rides!!!!!!!! They have roller coaster rides, thrilling rides which drops you from a height of 9 or 10 storeys, rides which spins so much it makes you puke =) and HAUNTED HOUSE!!!! with human 'ghosts'!!

Walking further into the park you will arrive at a huge tent.... thats where the drinking starts...hehe each mug of beer is 1 litre.... i went with a bunch of exchange students.... there were 55 of us in total.... we had made early reservations and for paying 16 euros we were entitled to 1 litre beer and a plate of half chicken!!! haha abit expensive though but its alrite we pay for the experience....

There is even a live band here.... awww..... reminds me of timbre and wala.... damn.... i ordered my first glass of beer and SIT BACK ENJOY!

Nearing to the evening the crowd was getting larger and the atmosphere got better too... its a typical sight when pple starts dancing around on the floor, or standing on the bench singing and cheering!!! "TICKA TACKA TICKA TACKA --- HOI HOI HOI!!!!" This was a typical phrase by the lead singer of the band to get the crowd's attention.... he would say the first part and the crowd would cheer the HOI part... The crowd was so good we did so much drinking before i knew it i had to order my 2nd glass WHAHAHA.... at this point of time if you are still sitting down on the bench pple would look at you like you are some kinda alien hehex!! STAND UP!! SING!!!

These are all my friends....heheh cannot put my unglam photos up.... that night i drank about 3 litres and we all enjoyed ourselves =P

Jan and Olli....the 2 guys who play active roles in my exchange here.... hey Olli invite me over for a MEAL!!!!!! I WANT MEAT!!!!

The bad thing about this event was that it ends at 12 midnight...so everyone, whether you are drunk or not, had to GO!!!! sighz..... it was a good night we enjoyed so much and we were really tired.... Everyone went back home and cuddled themselves in their bed jus like how Alycia is doing here =P~

Excursion to Bodensee and Parcel from home

I was on a school excursion to Bodensee, Germany on 18th May. Its one of the possible places to visit if you are here in Germany, its like half country side and half city.... depends on which part you visit. Bodensee is also the lake which separates Germany and Switzerland.... So standing on the bank of the lake you could see the ALPS at the other side~~ the weather was nice - sunny and windy.... At first we went to the Zeppelin museum which they show the history of the aircraft made before world war 2... i am not uploading those pictures cos hahaha i am not a museum person.... bleah~!!! After spending almost 2 hours inside its lunch time!! The coach brought us to a place by the sea to eat!!! very nice and romantic place =)

We ate in the tent as it was realli windy.....chilling.... The excursion cost me 15 euros but all inclusive so i think it wasnt too bad.... So i munch away my food...yummy!! Some kind of pork chop with salad, spatzel (not sure if its the right spelling) and cauliflower.

After the meal we went outside by the sea, enjoying the sea breeze =) We picked up pebbles and threw them horizontally on the sea surface, competing to see who can achieve the most number of bounces before sinking down to the bed of the lake. =) And the WINNER goes to.............OLLI!!!!!!!!!! achieving a record of 6 bounces!!!!! Let's welcome Swee Foo to give out a prize!!!!

I was throwing the stones so hard that after awhile i felt an ache on my upper arm.... haiz~~~ so weak..... We took a rest and the intermission programs kicked off - Girls attempting to carry each other to show who has larger strength!!!!!! [Maultaschen dun ask me to remove this photo]

Before we left the place we took a beautiful photos of the wine yards in front of the restaurant.

Yeah nice view~ if you all have a chance you should visit Feldberg which is in Freiburg during sommer.... the view up there is much more amazing then this.... The yellow flowers have pollen grains which stained my blue jeans..... and its hard to clean off..... damn....

The next few days were dull until i receive a ring one day from below.... i had a PARCEL....heee all the way from Singapore.... My mum had sent me wad i begged and requested for 3 weeks.....

The address is very big here~~ so Dear Frens!!! feel free to send me anything from singapore hahaha i realli miss the food back home!!!!

Berlin uncovered~

Welcome to Berlin, Germany!!!! In my opinion (so far), its one of the most beautiful cities in Germany. If you come to Germany and you dun visit Berlin then Germany would be a wasted trip for you.... It has a long history behind it too.... Berlin is the capital of Germany but during world war 2 most parts of Berlin were destroyed.... while they were rebuilding the city, the capital was changed to Bonn and now Berlin is acknowledged as the capital once again.....the east side of Berlin are kinda less developed than the west side... the difference is pretty much obvious....

So here we are arriving in Berlin!!!! Its realli nice and the weather is realli good which allow us to travel without woes for the next 3 days.

Stepping out of the main station i was pretty much amazed by the scenery.... Berlin is well-built by a combination of new and old buildings.... its realli a well-blended mixture hahaa.... the square in front of the main station is so wide i cant resist anymore and started snapping away with my camera.... and i got something good with it... hahahx~~ pretty asian girl lolx

But before me and zollin can do anything, we have to find ourselves a roof else we have to stay overnight on the streets and trust me it will be crazy..... the mornings and nights of Europe are freaking cold.... walk out of your building in your T-shirt, shorts and slippers if you dare.... i am sure you will regret it.....i know becos i DID that once.... OOOO WOOOOO.... "GEK KIANG~~"

We found a youth hostel at the eastern side of Berlin, you can take a train to Ostkreuz and its takes 10 min walk from the station to the A&O hostel.... it cost about 15-20 Euros per night and its realli cheap relatively to the other places around... but 15 euros is an 8 man room... and you have to share toilets and bathrooms with the other in the same level.... however me and zollin prefer to have some privacy (please DO NOT let your imagination run wild here) so we got the 4 man room which we have our own TV and toilet.... its more convienient this way... We were hoping that we have the room to ourselves and no other pple will come in (since its a 4-man room).... but we were disappointed when we walked into the room.... there are already occupants there but they were no were to be seen....most prob touring too in the streets.... we locked our stuffs in the cupboard and went off, to the city centre [PROTOCOL].... i mention about the German Wings blind booking system in the previous post.... there were another group of pple who also applied for the offer but ended up in Dresden... they also have plans to travel to Berlin.... so we met up with all of them for the afternoon... but the group which we mixed most with are the girls from NTU. We met up and tour the Potsdamer Platz... where there is an exhibition on the Berlin wall [1961 - 1989], which separates east and west Germany long time ago... there is a service where they will stamp on your passports for 2 euros i think....i didnt do it cost i dun wan my singapore passport to have any problems when i cross the customs... we took a picture and moved on.

Next we went into the centre of the area and there was museums around and oso this super big cinema...... It was a quick tour around before it turned dark and we, together with the NTU girls, decided to chill at a pub.... =)

We went to Hackerscher Markt where there is a row of pubs and clubs jus below the train station.... We went to AM/PM cos the seats were swings outside the pub and they were having happy hours on the cocktails.... it started getting cold and we shifted inside and you know wad~ they actualli have a basement which has a dancefloor for clubbing later in the night.... combination of both pub and club, how nice!! Here are the NTU girls from left, Rez, stacey who was the girl i showed earlier hahaha, Martina (i didnt remember her name until it was the last day of Berlin....hmm....tried to convo with her but P-H-A-I-L), and Joan~~ There are also pple who joined us later, Alexis from france and Yassim and Adil from turkey. We got abit high and took alot of photos but they are sensored WHAHAHAHA.... actualli its on my facebook lolx.... that night i drank 3 tequila shots each, 1 cocktail and 3 glass 0,5litre beer.

We went back home at around 2am and one of the occupants for our room is gone, so that makes me, zollin and one more dude. The next morning when i woke up that guy is also gone.... probably chased away by my snoring ZZzZZZzzZZZZZZZzzZZZZ.... sorry =(

We washed up and met up with Rez and Stacey for the bus tour, i think its quite useful as you know the city better and you get to see alot of stuffs and there is a tour guide too.... The tour guide is the most important element of the tour.... if you have a funny one you will enjoy it else you would feel like jumping out of the bus hahaha~~ it cost about 12 euros per person and you can stop and board at any checkpoints whenever you want. There are alot of places which the bus will bring you but i will onli list the few prominient ones...

3) Memorial church and TV tower of Berlin (nv take picture cos i am not a fan of TV towers)

TV tower is where you could get an overview of the city from a very high altitude...nid to pay to get up.... not very worth it i think hahaha every city has a TV tower [in german : Fernsehturm]

4) Siegessäule [victory pillar]

5) Reichstag [Parliament building]

6) Checkpoint Charlie

7) Museum Insel [A cluster of 5 museums with different exhibition]

8) Kanzleamt [Chancellor office] - that brown statue infront, they say it cost 8 billion euros... hard to believe though.....

9) Holocaust Mahnmal - its a museum which records the lives and happenings of the jewish pple in the past here in Germany... the stones are jus the memorial...the real museum is underground!!

11) Brandenburger Tor [The main tourist attraction in Berlin...it goes down a super long history]

Yeah besides the 11 places i listed out about there are alot more places for you to go around, to see, to visit.....Schloß Bellevue (Castle Bellevue), Haus der Kulturen der Welt (House of the culture of the world), Friedrich der Große (Friedrich the Great - jus a statue along their main city street, Unter den Linden), Neue Synagoge (New Synagogue), and seriously many more!! So taking the bus tour is realli a good choice cos you could have a general view of the tourist attractions around and decide where you would wanna revisit again later....besides the bus tour there is also a ship tour along the berlin river whose name i already forgot =P

After the bus ride we went back to Brandenburger Tor and Reichstag to get better pictures and to chill on the grass patch like everyone!!!! At the brandenburger tor we saw this weird looking bicycle and we hop on to it for a wonderdul tour of the area.

There are alot of street performers at crowded areas.... and some are realli interesting and some not so... the performer in the center caught be taking a picture and i ran off before i was asked to pay money WHAHAHA~~ Besides street performers, sometimes some gypsies will come up to you and ask "English??" then they would show you a paper asking you to give them money.... i realli hated that.... why cant they go to work..hmmm .... are they allowed to?? when i reject them they even scold me.... "CHINOISSss......" WTH man..... yesh chinese are stingy pple!! its in our blood you cant blame us!!!

The guide brought us to the front of reichstag where we sat down to chill..... we wanted to enter and have a look but the queue is so freaking damn damn damn long.... yes you get my point!!

After touring for the whole day, we decided to pamper ourselves with good food~!!!! oh the speciality of Berlin is curry wurst so be sure to try it if you are here~~ i ate alot of it even though it cost a bomb. Back to the topic, we ate at this restaurant...i ordered steak and we drank red wine hahahaha!!!

The last day of berlin was simple.... we went to the Museum Insel but we onli went up the Berliner Dom. In front of the Berliner Dom :

Its finally over~~ a life like a king~~ i spent almost 600 sgd in Berlin.... Stacey and I both share the same idea of "why save money when you are on a tour trip~~" Therefore i am eating pasta everyday now in Stuttgart in order to offset the expenditure in Berlin.... this coming week to scotland and england.... the King returns.... hahaha..... nothing goes better than enjoying life in Germany.

Blind Booking with German Wings

Finally i have the mood and time to blog again~~ i got this motivation from this handsome, good-looking man from Finland - Olli (ok...i am not gay pls even though i look at guys too).... because he says its interesting to read my blog so i dun wan to disappoint him hahahax.... these photos are kept in my camera for a long long time and i should realli put them out before they collect dust.... It was Oster Ferien [Easter holiday] and in Germany or rather Europe, this festival is celebrated throughout a span of 4 days [Karfreitag, Karsamstag, Ostersonntag, and Ostermontag]. And it was a thursday evening and tmr is Easter. =) Long weekend for us but no plans... sobz... i was playing some games when zollin asked me :

Zollin : Eh~ wanna go travel or not? German Wings blind booking to Budapest, Athens, Leipzig, Vienna, Barcelona, Dresden, Milan, Rome.

Me : Anything lor~ but confirm we will end up in Leipzig or Dresden....

*Yeah from BLIND booking is understood that we wouldnt know where we will go until we pay the money for the tickets....the blind booking is realli a good offer if you book earlier....not for pple like us who book like a day before.... this blind booking system oso allows you to cross out some of the places which you dun realli wanna go...so to cross out one you nid to pay extra 5 euros, but its worth it i guess.... if you dun cross anything you will end up paying 50 euros to and fro.... so either way its worthwhile too*

Zollin : Aiya the most we jus take a train to Berlin lor.... its onli 1 hour plus ride from Leipzig.

Me : Ok lor i anything de..... wad time is the flight??

Zollin : We nid to be at the airport at 6AM [Current time of conversation - 7:00 pm]

Me : Steady lor...play dota all the way liao no nid slp le.....

Zollin : ONZ!!

*And there we go~ we confirmed our plans for Easter less than 12 hours before our flight... no booking of hostels.... cos by the time anyone replies us we are already in Leipzig or Berlin.... so exciting rite!!! hahahax*

In the end we slpt too and woke up earli and made our way to the airport =) Because its BUDGET airline we have to take a bus to an open place to board the train by climbing stairs instead to boarding at the bay....and off we go to LEIPZIG!!!!!! Once we touch down in Leipzig, we took a train down to the main station of Leipzig.... its a standard thing to do cos in every german city there is a main station [in german : Hauptbahnhof]. And the city center [Stadtmittel] is always near there.

We took a look at the train plans and made our way to the city centre, in hope of seeing new stuff!!!!

Yeah and indeed we saw something interesting.... their water pipes are all built above ground... hmmm.... why would they wanna build it above ground??? abit unglam rite?? imagine the picture below without the blue pipes...isnt that a much much better environment?? Looking at the sight of it i only have one comment : "P-H-A-I-L!!!" (fail...lolx)

So we decided to alight one stop before the city centre and walk.... in order to see more =) took some pictures here and there.... as its onli the 2 of us, poor zollin had to be my camera-man....which he doesnt mind hahaha THX!!!!

Leipzig is not as dense as Stuttgart.... every roads are like so spacious.... the junctions are kinda bigger than TWO basketball courts.... easier to get accident like this?? cos you dunno where you are suppose to turn to rite? hahah i dun wan to drive here in Germany..... Left hand drive.... jus like when i played DAYTONA racing game in Singapore..... One typical thing about Germany is that there are also alot of bicycles paths along the road..... and pple cycle along these path not like in singapore so messy..... thx to all the bangala workers always riding in groups by the road.....creating lots of traffic issues.....at least ride on the walkpath....tsk! Oh anyway its a law here that you must wear your helmet when you ride a bike so obviously the guy in my picture is once again "P-H-A-I-L!!"

We were looking at the road signs and decided to go to the egyptian museum~~ so we followed the road signs and we arrive at this place which shows :

And so we look around..... we were on this flat piece of land.....HOW TO GO DOWN???

Thats the sign zollin is looking at. And there i saw a lift. Wow SO COOL the museum is built underground!!!!!! We went straight down and unfortunately its only a underground basement carpark..... so we went back up again.... WHERE IS THE FREAKING MUSEUM!!!!! we looked around once more and happen to see the other side of the road sign which shows :

It is then when we realised that the down arrow does not mean DOWN but backwards/U-turn/you are heading the wrong way!!!!! Once again ..... "sign P-H-A-I-L!!"

We were about to leave for Berlin, however before we make our way to the main station, we went into St. Thomas Church. Anyway Leipzig is the place where Bach the musician passed away so there are lots of places which commerates him, eg. restaurant, pub etc.

In the church~~~~ there are realli too many churches in Europe and this is definitely not the best or most beautiful one but it definitely has a long history behind it.... we took some photos and sat down and enjoyed the singing of the choir.... not realli choir but onli 1 lady...but still she has a good voice!!

Alrite after like half an hour in the church we depart for BERLIN!!!!!

First day of school + Culture shock

Yesterday marked the start of my school~~ finally..... yeah it is... i had my first lecture yesterday and i was alittle surprised that it is taught in German.... damn man.... i seriously cant understand a single thing even though i put in 150% concentration... the website bluffed me sobz~~ anyway there is another alternative to this problem since i mapped 2 modules to the same one and either one will do... but the other lecture is on thursday so i have to see again =) If its in english then hahah~ i will change immediately!! I know i am here to learn german~ but its a rare chance to be in Europe so i would wanna travel more too hehe~ so by having more modules which are taught in english, it will certainly reduce my workload hehe!!!

Anyway my workload is already light enough cos i am supposed to take 5 mods here but i ended up taking onli 4 as the last one either it clashes with everything else or i have problems mapping or the rest of the mods which i mapped are not available during the sommer semester...

Future plans so far :
30th April - 5th May : Glasgow in Scotland and London =)
29th May - 7th June : Italy (milan -> venice -> florenz -> rome)

so for those frens who are visiting me pls dun come on these dates or you will find no one =)

Yesterday was also my first tabletennis session here in the university....as i was new there no one wants to play with me =( This was becos they all have their sparring partners and they dun wanna take the risk of playing with me as they dunno my standard..... i was rather sianz.... why so practical man..... so in the end i asked another guy to play with me. ANyway i talked to the trainer that i wanna train regularly so he invited me to his sports club...he said there will be good players around so i hope so =) Thats tonight!!!!! =P

Oh sorry i deviated from the topic~ the difference between NUS and here!!

1) our facilities are better~ i am refering to the lighting etc... you know in nus if the lecturer wish to change the light settings its jus a button away.... here every lecturer has an assistance which accompanies him throughout the lecture...things he does are changing the light setting when the prof wanna write on the BLACKBOARD...haha i am not joking...they are still using blackboard and chalk here....giving out lecture notes to the students....jus before lecture start the assistant will walk around to give everyone the set of lecture notes...so its either free or it cost onli 1 euros for a freaking thick stack of notes...these assistance are usualli students doing their master concurrently i think.... they oso act as secretaries for the prof.... its so funny jus thinking of it.... maybe prof in singapore are more independent hehex!!

2) the seating arrangement is abit cock up i think.... there are some big lecture hall but their seats are so narrowly squeezed with each other.... so when one person wants to walk out to go toilet or walk in to sit with their frens, the WHOLE FREAKING ROW has to pack their stuff and stand up....then that cockster will have the limelight of walking down the 'red carpet' with everyone's eyes on him.....everytime i see that scene i seriously wanna burst into laughter...

3) the mic device they use here oso quite funny, cos they dun use mini mics with clippers here....they realli use mics like those in KBOX(and i miss KBOX-ing too), and all the mics have these strings attached to them where the prof hang it over their neck and let the mic dangling in front of their chest.... so in order to pick up the sounds clearly the volume was on loud...i was quite surprise that there wasnt any feedback~~~ hahah at least the school lives up to its name being one of the better engineering universities in germany...lolx

4) i dunno is it me but the course which i took all dun have alot of pple taking it..... is it becos the courses are Masters programs??? every module which i take here doesnt have an attendence of more than 40 pple..... i am glad i dun study permanantly here else the bell curve system will kill me..... and speaking of their bell curve its not an inverted cosine curve like ours... oh in case any one who doesnt know how is the shape of a cosine curve (pple like szehui), its has the shape of a mountain....low points at the sides and a high point in the middle.... understand or not szehui!!! Tsk! Their bell curve here is in a shape of a W...... hahaha so its either you study or you DONT!!! hahaha their grading system is 1,0 for very good and 5,0 for you are screwed.... 30% of the pple getting 5,0.... hmmm.... in singapore you would be like damn paiseh to show your face.... down here you can lift your head high up cos you are not ALONE.... "ENJOY LIFE YOU SUCKERS!!!" -> this is not from me hehhehahaha....

IBM Museum

There was no german lesson today~~ instead a class outing to IBM Museum....where they show us discovery and evolution of computers.... it sound realli exciting but trust me its not!!! NOT!!!! but i do appreciate the effort my teacher took....but it was my 2nd time here since i was here 2 years ago and also under the same teacher~~~ imagine going thru the same lecture twice....yes you feel my pain....

This is a reader in the past as everything are saved onto tapes... you nid like 4 big stupid machines jus too read a few hundred characters.... so crappy.... you can imagine this as your mp3 player playing only ONE song hahaha. In front of that piece of crap is a typer which is able to type info onto a log card at the same time punches holes into the paper.... information which could be stored is realli limited....

Here we have a printer which is almost as tall as me~~

The hard disk......................................... which onli can store 1 MB......

The next part of the museum shows realli ancient stuff like how pple sort things in the past and record data.... which eventually leads to the discovery of the PC

Zoo Adventure

2 weeks ago i went to the zoo with the usual group of frens i mixed with and some guys from chile. hahaha it was a realli good place to me though its realli very big..... i cant describe how good it is and i cant give a relative comparison to you all cos this is my VERY VERY FIRST TIME to the zoo....yes yes i know sad childhood..... *cut away the WTH expression from your face and read on* tsk!! maybe some nice and kind souls can bring me to the zoo when i return hahahaha

Well and so the first step into the zoo.... PENGUINS!!!!! but i jus find it realli realli weird.... who will put penguins as a first item in the zoo.... hmmm.... maybe the Germans WHAHAHAHA~~

Next up i went into the birds area where they have a huge net spread over the entire place....so pitiful~~ i cant realli take a good shot at the birds as they were so high up on the trees except for this one~~ its so tame and totally not afraid of pple... i could jus reach out my hands, grab it and put it into my pocket hahahah!!

It wasnt realli an attractive area to me and so i moved on~~ at the same time all of us were separated here....and i ended up with Jordan,zolin, guatsim and debora....we moved on the the insects-quarium!!!! yucks!!! you know insects are actualli not that bad...but its when you see trillions of them together in a box it reealli makes your hair stand!!! I SWEAR!!! I will only put up one pic here cos i cant bear to see it on my screen anymore~~ this is quite mild actualli there are lot more insects like spiders, ants, praying mantis and cockcroaches!! YESH cockcroaches!!!!! jus becos its not a common sight here in germany doesnt mean you should DISPLAY THEM!!!! and IN BULKS!!! omg!!

Next we went on the the amazon glass house~~ its so farny!!! its like walking into the singapore jungle..... its so humid inside....i bet they were steaming the place from below.... but it reminds me of singapore army time..... i took a pic here in front of the artificial water fall which they build =)... at this time its onli me and zollin..... the rest were missing....

Exiting from the amazon environment we were in time to watch a performance by the caretaker =) That creature (i dunno wad you call it...hmmm lionseel??) was like singing to the crowded and performing tricks.... of cos not as good as SHEARES GEYAO hahahaha

Next is the Aquarium and reptiles section..... i was hoping that i could hold one in my hands but too bad i cant..... so boring....and i was thinking of doing something exciting... i shall not put up the fishes pics cos every picture counts to my net limit but they are no difference from wad we used to eat hahah yummy~~ more reptiles pics....there is this giant python which is realli big and fat!!! 56kg far heavier than Alycia.... [PS : alycia work on your weight you are too light]

When i was realli getting bored of walking around and looking at animals.... i felt relieve and happy to see someone i know!!!! or at least i miss =) i see something that resembles my frens in SHeares hall!!! People say HALLO to horace, leelong and alex!!!

As usual Horace and Leelong loves to fight with each other trying to love bite each other.....

Here i met up with Qiling and we travelled the rest of the zoo together with our nice Zolin as the camera man.... he realli doesnt like to take photos more of a scenery guy....but i think he is afraid that his spirit will be removed from his body if he takes photo ..... hahahahaha

finally we were bored of taking pictures of animals so we turn our attention to the kids in the zoo instead.... actualli not me~~ jus QIling~~ she is the one who tried seducing the kids into taking photos....it took her a hard time cos of her asian exotic look...but it succeeded after a long negotiation WHAHAHA

We came to a cafe....and after much travelling we decided to sit down chill and have a glass of hefeweizen while waiting for the rest hehehx~~~ life here ROCKS!!!

Today i had abit of time and decided to do some accounting!!! and OMG i realised i have overspent by quite alot~~ 700 Euros last month!!!!! I think its becos i bought a speaker here~~ hahaha WELL i have to emphasize that i live a simple life!!! SIMPLE!!!! but to me speaker is definitely a neccessity!!!! I nid a good sound system to party here, watch movie here, etc!! lolx~~

Tmr i am suppose to go to strasbourg in France but i changed my mind cos my teacher told me that there is a NATO gathering there and alot of places would be cordoned off and the place will be quite chaotic and dangerous~~~ thus i might jus nua at home~ or go to another city in Germany~~ heheX.... anyway i have oso booked my ticket to ITALY today!!!! i will be flying over to MILAN on the 29th of May and my friends and i will be visiting VENICE, FLORENZ, and ROME.....before we return to STUTTGART on the 7th of June~~ So my dear frens if you were to visit me at that period pls DUN!!!!!! hehex~~ Last week i went to the ZOO too and i took alot of photos until my camera went flat~~ hahah i promise to upload the photos soon too!!!

Germany is realli a great place to relax~~ especially when SPRING IS FINALLY HERE!!!! every afternoon when i return from school there is bound to have pple who lies on the grass patch to tan themselve~ some pple even bring their books down and lay there to study under the SUN.... yeah so you could see that sun is realli priceless to them~~ i hate the sun!!! too hot~~ lolx~~~ If not there will be pple bbq-ing~~~ seriously they realli know how to enjoy life~~ they party every week till i am abit afraid of it liao~~~ tsk~~

Yesterday i went to a night club to learn how to dance salsa~~ hahahah quite interesting though~~ ehehex~ Zolin says that salsa is a good sport~~ good to know CHAR BO(S) too lolx~~ cos its a dance where most of the pple who learn are girls~~ i learned a few moves but my problem of having 2 left legs still exist...haiz~~~ i enjoyed myself that night~~ the dance was realli cool when i see the pros dance.. they kept spinning here and there until i see stars~~ hehe!

first month in Germany

Hi pple!!! Long time no blog le~~ this will be my first text post.... the reason is the internet connection here in stuttgart they cap the amount of infomation you can download and upload.... so as to prevent illegal online activities hehex....so everyone is capped at 25 gig of infomation.....yeah that realli suxs cos i cant do alot of online streaming or radio~~ and uploading photos to my blog~~ i am left with 2 gig of space so i have to CHERISH it!! Cos playing DOTA oso considered downloading data....... TMD!

Fortunately, there is this internal network called DC++ where you could share your stuff with everyone on the school campus and the data transferred between the 2 users are not taken into the account.... hehehx PLUS the download speed is 10Mb / sec!!!!!! hahah one movie takes me like 2 min to download........ i am SERIOUSLY thinking of investing in a 1 terrabyte harddisk here in germany le.... lolx so i can bring back for everyone!!! WHAHAHAHA yeah i know i leave up to the 'VICE KING' title =P

Anyway its been 1 month since i have came to Stuttgart =) had my first german test and i am glad it turned out well but i am still very very very bad at speaking.......sigh......

On Saturday we went out of Stuttgart to Tübingen!!!! Cos too long in Stuttgart realli makes me bored! ahahaha.... so we were on the train on our way there and everyone looks realli excited!!
I wanted to take a candid shot of everyone but too bad i wasnt stealth enough and was caught by Alycia when i was about to snap on the camera. sobz~

Marcela was very excited today as she got herself a new camera and a STAND which can hold the camera in position at anywhere any position..... See!!! She is posing next to it like an advertisement in a magazine lolx!! Yeah see it? that spider looking legs

Here we are at Tübingen~~ some scenery shots~~ First we went to the old university castle where a museum is.

The way up to the Uni castle is a long uphill walk~~ For a fat boy i went up fast....well i consider that cos i was jus in time to take a picture of the rest strolling up hahahaha!!!!

Here is Jordan from the States~~ A playful guy....serious when he works (i think) He is considered the lao jiao here cos he has been staying here since last year....

Next we went into the castle through the side stairway~~ and though a tunnel where we appear in the centre of the castle~~ And right away!! A photo request from Qiling~~ sobz~~~ hahaha

I notice a difference in the height of the different doors and took this chance to take a picture with alycia..... A door custom made for you hahah how nice~~ lolx.... i hope she is not angry about it~~ lolx

Next we went out of the castle and took a few photos again~~~ how grand~~ in Germany there are lots of castle this is not the ZAI one...if i have a chance maybe i will visit one but unfortunately i am not much of a castle fan hahahah

I spend 3 Euros to enter the museum..... not much to see except for some ancient cockery and skulpturs~~~

We were all hungry by then and at the same time we all misses singaporean food!!!! So we decided to spend alittle more and eat at the asian shop!! hahaha i have been there once and now i am recommending the place to my frens!! The owner got to know from us that i brought them here so i was given a treat~~ onli on the drinks....so my China Tsing Dao Beer 2 Euros is FREE!! WHAHAHAHA better than nothing mah..... This is wad i ate!!! gong bau beef and wan tan soup!!

Their chicken rice.....not too bad but i prefer the tomato fried rice more...

After a heavy meal, we went to the Rittersport Chocolate factory here and bought alot of chocolates!!! in singapore it cos like 2 dollars plus 3 dollars? Here its onli 50 cents euro!!! hahaha how worth it rite!!! Lucky i am not a chocolate fan if not i will be bankrupt before i leave here.

Horsie & Shi Sha

I walked out of my hostel today and i was shock to see a horse...a big white horse behind my block~~ Well its realli a weird place to have one rite~~ we were all excited and wanted to pat it on the head and take pictures!! I dunno where the horses come from but i have seen pple riding horses around near my hostel~~ probably there is a stable or a farm nearby =) i should check it out!!!

Another cooking session~~~ i tried to make salmon!!!!! hahaha the marinated kind!!! well it turns out not too bad though~~ at least i realli like it... WE realli like it!!!

After a full meal~~~ its time to sit down chill, have a cold bottle of beer and SHI SHA!!!!!! Marcela's housemate who comes from saudi arabia has the shi sha apparatus in his room!!! Lolx!!!! Apple flavour, strawberry or grape!!! hahahah Here in stuttgart i could SHI SHA for free~~~ hahahah

Sorry for being too lazy to update my blog~~ hahaha i had many plans as i am a popular man~~ WHAHAHAHA!!!! Sorry man!! I going to spam you all with this long blog now.....last week i went to a fren birthday party. He is Alexis and he comes from France~~ btw the Frenchies i met here are all great pple!! See 2 handsome guys taking photos together at the party hee~~!!

Its very nice of him to invite us and prepared so much DRINKS!!! yes thats the most important part hahahah~~~ Here are more pictures from the party~~

The Singa-trio hahah~ jus some random picture... and i think i realli drink alot that night but i am okay cos i remember everything i have done the night before =) i have to control myself here cos i am far away from my secondary home - NUH and the hospital and clinics are not open 24hours so yeh....i have to be careful!!! lolx....

We all were having alot of fun and we starting to take alot of pictures....sometimes i would request some other pple to take a group picture of us.... and that is when i realise someone is totally drunk!!!! I realised this after i saw the photo he took......

Welll...... thx man....appreciate the effort though.....i could see how hard he try to capture all of us in the picture..... dotz..... anyway parties are so often here that i have to forego some off them.....they party like crazy maybe cos school hasnt start yet lolx.....well it onli begins on the 20th April......hahahah when chris finished his SEP in England i haven start school lolx~~~

We bid goodbye to Alexis and we went back to our rooms to sleep as we have going on a trip the next day to Freiburg. JUST before we board the train, our singaporean craving for picture taking starts again.....HERE WE GO!!!!!!!

The trip to Freiburg was miserable.....4 hours..... should have brought my IPOD along man...... After we arrived at Freiburg, we decided to eat first before going to Titisee not far away from the main station (about half hour train ride.... yeah its not far away cos its relative to the 4 hours one before) We ate at a turkish kebab shop...its realli common here in Germany as most of the immigrants in Germany are from Turkey.... I have some craving for rice so i decided that i should eat the doner with rice.... yummy for 7 Euros lolx

TITISEE!!!!! its the 2nd time i have come here....the last time was 2 years ago but during that time it was summer and the weather was hot and i could roll a boat in the lake!!! I was looking forward to it again but i was disappointed on this very day as the lake was FROZEN!!!! TMD!!!hahahx But anyway the place was HEAVEN still..... cos its WHITE everywhere.... the snow gathered here was so thick and tall its amazing!!! Maybe this will be the last time i see snow hahaha.....

The girls were so amazed that the stayed here for almost 15mins jus taking pictures lolx~~ different positions standing, sitting, lying on the snow etc etc~~

Sad..... the frozen lake which i mention jus now~~ damn sianz.... at least let us ice skate or something hahaha... more pictures

This place is an ideal place for skiing and it is famous among the locals here.... pple will drive up here from cities more than 300km away on this very weekend jus to relax and chill here.... why cant singapore life be like this...haiz....the thought of migrating here zoomed past my thoughts =)

ARGH!!!! I wanna SKII but i dun have the right attire!!! DAMN!!! I dun care i am going to come back here next week to skii!!!!! and maybe snowboard too hahahaha!!!! Before we leave the place we decided to chill awhile at the cafe on the snow hill hahahaha~~~~

Shopping SURPRISE

Last Friday i went to participate in an AMAZING RACE organised my some student organisation. It is suppose to help us get to know the city center better - koenigstrasse. And this is my team!!! Alexis from France, Jan from Chile, Guat Sim (malaysian) from NTU and Yustina from Poland =)

Welll we ran around like mad dogs in the city centre hahah sweat alot!! cos we ran all the way to the end point....pant pant pant~ Well our efforts paid off!! We were the first to arrive!!!! but we got some questions wrong so overall we are 2nd in place!!!! Not bad still la~~~ huh? wad did we win?? ------ tickets to CINEMA!!!! wow~~ for a 4 hours run.......maybe not that worth it hahaha~ but its still fun!!! We work together as a team!!!!

Then today~ i went to KAUFLAND - like our NTUC - to buy some groceries for the weekend and i saw this display of liqour so i decided to take a look! hehe~~ Its realli freaking cheap!! anyway KENNETH!!!!! LOOK!!! This is the bottle you broke!!!! Glenfiddich!!!! Now you know how much to pay joel liao =P

BLACK LABEL for onli $55 dollars..... but i dun like that drink.....

Oh this is XO brandy!!!! hahaha not as popular probably~~ onli 9.99 Euros lolx!! This is HEAVEN!!!!!

It was a Saturday evening!!! The office of international relations have organised a dinner for all of us~~ So nice of them =) the most important thing to me is FREE DINNER lolx.... save money mah!! But first we have to listen to a series of presentations by different group of association lead by students in Stuttgart. You know~ those student clubs who organise events to mix german students and international students together~ One of the organisation, AEGEE, organised a party at Club Diyala on this very night!!! YES!!! my first time i drink beer in germany!! TODAY IS THE DAY!!!

This is the group which i will be 'clubbing' with =) More international students!! from Chile and Turkey - 3 guys behing from left ( Jan, Javier, ______ i forgot the last guy liao hahaha )

Not very different from singapore's club but i think the music quite chuiz~~ hahaha they played TRANCE!!!!! omg.... instead of dancing up and down i am like floating~~ but after awhile i guess its better!!! But one thing good is that the drinks here is damn cheap~~ only 3 euros~~~ hahah and the cover charge is like superly cheap!!!!!! its like 5 euros you can get in i think~~~

On the third day of snow~~~ a Saturday morning!!! We woke up late in the afternoon cos we have clubed till earli morning....yeah yeah i know you still waiting for the clubbing photos.... I have to build up the suspense so you guys will read my blog regularly.... heheh YESH I KNOW I AM VERY JIAN!!!!

The movement to mission ground....yes yes i miss army....

You know~~ i realli didnt know that building a snowball can be so difficult....well you cant blame me!!! i have nv try before.... First we made a test ball to see how much weight it can support!!! Here is a ball~ good enough to support a 80+ kg man standing on it....ITS NOT ME!!!! Arthur tested the ball...and i am not that FAT!!!

We built an extremely tall snowman!!! phew~~ almost broke my back!!! Its so much taller than me that we have to climb a ladder to put the head up.....AMAZING!!!!

OK LA i talked cock again~~ its onli about alycia's height!!! hahahaha But still its realli heavy to build... you start off small by making a snowball and you start rolling it on the ground until it becomes bigger~~ when the ball reaches knee level you probably need 2 man to push it liao.....Here are more photos!!!!

Hey pple its GAME TIME!!!! Can you all guess where this picture is taken??? Hahaha~ MRT Station??? Swimming pool?? Nono!!! its the PUBLIC toilet in germany... Well you may have already guessed it from the 'WC' sign... if you didnt you should be visiting the optics =P Yesh this is realli their toilet bo xian~~ so highly secured hehe Anyway one advise if you were to come to germany~~ remember to go toilet before you go out cos all this toilets cost 1 Euro dollar to get in...which is equivalent to $2 hahaha~ No joke!!! But of cos there are better toilets in shopping buildings but that one got pple jar gar de so you have to give tips.... So if you are stingy (not me) then dun enter!!

Yo when i was wandering around in school again in the evening, it starts raining!!! But when i take a harder look, the ground were turning white in colour.... before i realise it, it was SNOWING!!!!! YESH!!!! I THOUGHT I MISSED IT!!!!! Thanks all of you who were praying back at home to snow in germany cos you read my previous mail about me missing snow =) WHAHAHA i ran outside and CELEBRATE!!!!! HOW??

First day of school

Hi hi pple~~ finally have time to blog again after indulging myself with the snow and clubbing hahahah photos you will see later!! First i would wanna talk about my first day of school!!! Not the real semester but the german intensive course... one semester will onli begin on the 20th april..YESH I KNOW ITS REALLI LATE!!!!! well~ becos its the first day of school we onli did some introduction and off we go out into the city for some exkursion~ opps thats german... EXCURSION!!! But the places the teacher brought us to are those i went before liao hahahaha...anyway this is a picture of stuttgart city~~ As you can see got alot of buildings like us but with some wine yards here and there~ This region is not the main place where all the wineyards are located but yeah i will definitely show you next time..PROMISE!!

Next this girl is Guat Sim (left side) ~~ from NTU, also in my class as well as Alycia =P (Good to have singaporeans with me in the same class). Guat Sim studies aerospace engineering~~

Woohooo~ ok this lady on the extreme left~~ she is my german teacher - Frau(Ms) Grieser...Erm pls dun be mistaken hor she is not posing....jus got on camera when i am taking pictures with Laura from Spain and the other 2 singaporeans. Well she does look gusty in the picture hohohoho.... She is also my german teacher when i came to Stuttgart 2 years ago during the immersion program....well you can say i suay that i kena the same teacher....2 years later - NOW - she still remembers me....yeah think i have slpt too much in her class or too kao bei already.... thats why she still remembers me.... anyway she is a smoker... hardcore? i not too sure but who cares!! Everyone in Germany smokes... to keep warm maybe hahahaha

After the short walk, Frau Grieser took us to a small restaurant that serves coffee,cholcolate and cakes...yumyum!!! i onli ordered a hot chocolate for 3,50Euros but was seriously damn tempted by the deserts...but luckily i resisted else my pocket will have a hole liao... 7 Euros for a small piece of cake?? hmmm..... i kept telling myself not to think of the exchange rate but SERIOUSLY for a SINGAPOREAN....YOU CANT DO THAT!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hey hey~~ time to blog again~~ I jus realised i didnt upload my room photo hahaha.... well this is my room in stuttgart, a typical pgp type B room but it is 2 times bigger than my room in sheares haha.... Oh then the windows here in germany are all quite interesting, at least its something different from singapore....SEE the handle of the window...if you shift it upwards like that the window will be able to open itself from the top -- great for airing the room haha~ if you turn the level 90 degrees clockwise you will be able to open it the same way we do in singapore....if you turn it 90 degrees clockwise again the window will be lock =)

Here is my table~~ hhahaha messy as usual but only difference is that my bass guitar =( is not here sobz~~~~~ oh and that water bottle, the 1.5litre one.....guess how much it cost??? It cost me 2 Euros which is singapore $4...... yeah rite i have proven the fact that water is more expensive than beer in Germany~~ but too bad i dun have my drinking buddies now....haiz~~~ horace,chris,minwoo,joel!!!!! COME BACK!!!!!!!! yeah so i am now keeping this 4 dollars bottle and top it up with tap water to drink repeatedly....think i will use until fungi grow on it before i throw....at least i feel that my money is well-spent! hahah anyway in germany here we cant throw any rubbish around....they are very environmental friendly we have to sort out our rubbish before we throw...bottles, paper, packaging, and the rest.... No wonder i dun see any ants and xiao qiangs here...probably its too cold hahah

First few days

The first few days after my arrival i was busy running around the city centre or school to do administration stuff...things like buying insurance, applying for bank account, etc. Got to meet another sweet girl~ A KOREAN GIRL!!!!! Sweet-looking girl but quite bimbo ahahaha!!!

Okay i was joking! she is also another singaporean from NUS. Her name is Qi Ling. But seriously she realli looks like a Korean to me~ maybe cos of her small eyes~~ hahah dun you agree?

Well moving on~ Here the guy with cap, Arthur Heidt, he is the buddy of alycia, qiling and the mexico girl in the picture, Koch Thierry Marcela. She speaks realli good espanyol~ not bad english. abit of french abit of german.....yeah realli alot of languages....reminds me of Ang Mor Chris!!! But chris you more ZAI!!! hahaha you know 5 languages!!!! you speak french,german,english,and learning chinese, korean and japanese(i bet you picked up the language to better understand the jap porn you watch...haha...you can translate to horace next time although i am quite sure he already knows alot too WHAHAHAHA).... ok back to the guy Arthur... He is from Russia but he has been staying in germany since long long time ago...quite short for a Russian rite?? hahaha probably the diet realli affects the height!! I feel that is quite helpful but he is realli unfriendly i guess....probably becos he doesnt smile and he emits this aura like if you dun do wad he says you are DEAD..... anyway yeah i think i am in his banlist lolx together with qiling hahaha....

P.S. : Qiling we have a common enemy!!! RAWRR!!!!

Here in Germany, most shops are closed on weekends...yeah boring....not as happening as in singapore...probably not everywhere in germany but least here in stuttgart. hahaha SO THAT MEANS WE HAVE TO SETTLE OUR OWN MEALS!!!!!!!

Well on monday night we had a random cooking session....i cook my usual spaghatti hahaha its cheap here the ingredients i mean.... Marcela made some buritos and salat and alycia was our photographeress~~~ Below is Satt from saudi arabia.... he come here on scholarship so everything is free.... hahahaha well speaking of scholarship i received one from Uni Stuttgart too hehe very lucky i would say....500 euros per month!!! which means i can travel like crazy!!!!!

Becos my intensive german course onli starts on thursday, we decided to talk a walk in koenigstrasse(it means king street) again. Yeah very nostalgic....i came here last year....i miss the time sitting down on the grass patch in summer, in front of the castle drinking beer with my immersion frens!! but now is winter so the ground is wet sobz~ cannot sit down....

Besides cooking ourself we could also eat at the school canteen, which they call the MENSA~ it doesnt mean eating here we nid to have an IQ of over 150 okay!! hahaha lame.....sorry.... the food here is comparatively cheaper than outside but i usually take so much food that it cost no difference than when i have to eat outside of school.....yeah....i am a glutton......thx......

You could see how we enjoyed the mensa food =) i love the potato salad and pasta here....100 grams for 70 cents euro!!! yeah weird rite...they actualli weigh their food before paying.....if we eat out will probably cost us about 5 euros and in the mensa about 3 euros.....

Arriving in Germany

On the plane finally after a long goodbye call from my frens! Ok first let me introduce you this is Alycia~~ FASS year 2 major in English She is the girl who i will be traveling with =) She is realli realli small (about a head...erm i mean almost a head shorter than me...hahah realli adorable~~ her luggage looks bigger than her i think lolx)

The flight took about 13 miserable hours before i arrive at Frankfurt, Germany where i took an ICE train (Germany fastest train) southwards to Stuttgart..... Seriously the train ride is much much more comfortable than the plane ride as the seats were so much spacious.....Oh as you can see the train got restaurant on board too hahahah good service leh!!

Alrite....becos i arrived earlier in Stuttgart, i am not able to get my dorm on campus as there is still someone staying in my room sobz~~~ so i have to stay in the hostel while waiting for my room =( Its realli damn expensive!!!!! 24 euros per night and i have to pay another 3 euros for a meer 24 hours of internet..... i have to pay cos its realli bored staying in the room and its realli too cold and crazy for me to go out walk walk.... My 2nd time in Stuttgart~ nothing has changed....the city centre Koenigstrasse is still the same old one i see one year ago~ by the way this place is suppose to be like our orchard road but smaller of cos..... and the H & M stalls are realli popular here!!! All the girls will go crazy when they come here hahahahx~~ Shopping mah!! Oh usualli its very crowded jus that the weather isnt realli good and its late~ Germany shops close realli early here!!

Opps ok forgot to mention that i have a buddy too~ Quite tall but normal for a German!! hahaha Her name is Simone Plog and she helps me with all the administration work with the school. She is really a fun loving lady, 26 years old liao~ hahah master in Physics!! SO ZAI!!!

Well melted snow here! SAD!!! we were late by about one day....i heard from Simone that it was still snowing one day before i arrived!!!! SHIT!!! should have come earlier!!! Oh this is my hostel by the way~~ not this blk behind me but very near hahahahz~~

Leaving Singapore

On the 25th Feb 09 8.15pm, i arrived at the airport feeling excited cos i am finally leaving for my SEP to Germany just after Joyce return. At the same time i am also sad cos i have to leave everyone(family, frens from school - shigong,bk,etc frens from hall - ___too many to list____ sobz~~~ well but its jus 6months time flies~~ yet there are still lots of frens, who cant bear for me to leave and of cos also alot who are dying for me to leave singapore, that came to send me off. Thanks everyone!!!! Here first up we have our advanced party formed by joey,bobo,shaun and terrence!!

Well i call them the advanced party as they were realli earli as they wan to go to zouk as soon as they took a picture with me~~ hahaha drinkers......tsk tsk tsk.....

Oh not forgeting my parents who escorted me to the airport~~~ I am sure i will miss them dearly!!!!!!

At about 10pm a large group of shearites started flooding in hahaha well i 'was' realli surprise to see so many of my lovely c-towners and band members as well as shearites from other blks who spend time to send me off. Those who cant make it spend some effort doing up some cards for me (ali-0 and val) or sms (ke xi, damien, etc!) or even call (jiesheng,laimun,leeling,gloria li - the one who can sing etc!)
